Celebrating Seniors in the Greater Rochester and Seacoast Communities for nearly 115 years!
Nestled in the heart of Rochester's historic district surrounded by lush grounds, the Gafney Mansion was built in 1894, then donated to a charitable cause by Judge Charles B. Gafney. In 1904, The Gafney Home "for the Aged" was born!
Today, the Home boasts 19 meticulously cared for rooms, each of which is tastefully decorated and appointed with the comforts of home. Our staff is eager to please, providing exceptional care and service to our residents. We are licensed by the State of New Hampshire and governed by a Board of Directors.
The Gafney Home Difference
We are a small, nonprofit assisted living community that welcomes those who wish to maintain their independence but need ongoing care. Offering peace, joy and engagement, nourishing the body and soul one person at a time, we are dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors and assisting them with the challenges of aging.
The Gafney Home is dedicated to providing exceptional long-term care in a comfortable, supportive environment – and to caring for each resident with compassion, dignity, and respect.
